| I remember a Gracegivers teaching several months ago, where Steve said the minestry was in need of more funding. Im curious as to what GWM does when there is a financial need greater than the funds recieved. Does GWM borrow money or have any outstanding debts? |

Hey Vanman,
This question is probably best asked of Steve McVey himself and is not one that can or should be answered on a forum. You can try contacting Grace Walk Ministries via e-mail at info@gracewalk.org .

| Laura, Im wanting to use GW as an example in my life and the financial direction and teaching based on Grace could benefit many people. So I think its a perfect topic for this forum. Especially in such hard financial times. |

Hi Vanman,
My post above was merely a suggestion. Take it or leave it.
With that said, though, I would like to point out that the moderators of this site have commented very infrequently (do to time constraints, I'm sure) in the last year or so, and they still may be unwilling to discuss this subject publicly. That's why I suggested sending your question directly to GW.
My post was meant to be helpful, not combative. |

I think I agree with Laura. These are the most volatile times I've known. There is so much hatred out there and finger-pointing and blaming on the part of the financially "secure" (AND health-insured) towards everyone else being "irresponsible," that the subject is a ticking time bomb.
We were among the earliest victims, losing at least 80% of business (housing market)quite suddenly in Spring 2006. The hole got deeper as we incurred more bills while few remaining clients bankrupted. Unless God performs a miracle, I doubt we will recover in our lifetime. I'd by lying if I didn't say I have no resentment towards my H for using credit to keep business and home on life support while he scrambled to find a fix. However, I can honestly say that if it were me making the big decisions, I'm not absolutely sure what I would have done! The same with any ministry. Do you keep it floating while you wait for rescue, or let it sink?
Best to talk with the ministry directly. |
